Place 9 fully explored adjacent maps into 9 item frames in a 3 by 3 square. They stopped back in. I use locator maps because i heard non locator maps don t work. Smallest map you can make on easy survival.

Note regarding map rotation in releases prior to 1 2 15 a bug caused the sky to rotate from north to south and the sun to rise in the north. Map room is straight up not working.
